Face Masks, Beauty tips and Health

Our teenage years are when our skin is the most sensitive and its important to be aware of what we put on our skin. Facial cleansers that contain a number of chemicals can be harsh on our skins. Using facial scrubs that are more nature or contain natural ingredients are better. But the best scrubs to use are made by using homeade remedies. Oatmeal scrubs and apricot scrubs are very effective as well as masks. One that has worked for me personally is the Oatmeal mask.

You take:
    -1/2 cup of hot water
    - 1/3 oats
    - 2 tsp. yogurt
    - 2 tsp. honey
    - 1 egg white

**Let it set for 10-15 minutes and rinse.

Oatmeal moisturizes, repairs and softens your skin. other foods that helps hydrate your skin and prevent wrinkles are yogurt and chocolate.

Now stress overload is a huge problem among all of us and you have to find a way to manage stress. A few helpful tips are:
  1.  Listening to music: jam out everyday
  2.  Exercise: Stress produces chemicals that make you tense, execerise releases endorphins which make you happy:)
  3. Getting enough sleep
  4.  Deep breathes
  5.  Eating FULL meals (dont skip, cut down on junk, get enough iron and calcium which is something that all girls are low on.)
  6. Drink water: you feel tired when your dehydrated
  7. Discuss your problems; Vent! It takes a huge load off and you get back good advice.

I hope this helps add to your daily life and remember love the skin your in:)

Chic Academy's Top 6 Beauty Secrets!

You don't want this!!

Nobody wants those dreaded dark circles or tired, puffy eyes you get from staying up all night studying or maybe a long party the night before. No need to go out and buy expensive products!! Just try this easy and natural remedy to keep you looking wide awake, beautiful and refreshed! Let your tea bags (preferably green or black containing caffeine) steep for 2-3 minutes in a mug of hot water, take them out and let them cool down in the fridge for 20 minutes.
We like this yummy Mixed Berry flavor! **Sip some of this delicious tea while you wait for the bags to chill!

After the bags are fully chilled squeeze out the excess water and make yourself comfortable, laying the bags on your eyes for 15-30 minutes. Once done rinse the tea stains off your face and reap the benefits!!

Much better!

As fall has approached us its felt alot like winter for some of us already! No one likes the dry and cold weather that drys out our skin. This incredibly easy brown sugar exfoliator gets rid of all the dead skin, and the great thing is that it also tastes great too! Meanwhile its still lipstick season, and this beauty tip is perfect to help your ruby reds glide on smoothly!

Do you have bad nails and want a natural way to improve them? There is a simple solution for you!  Simply soak your fingers in olive oil for a few minutes every week. The olive oil will soften your cuticles and moisturize your nails without making them weak.  My favorite benefit is that it also prevents “hang nails” caused by dry skin.

In addition to healing waters and local indigenous treatments, honey is a favorite of the natural skin experts! When warmed and mixed with brown sugar or coffee grounds, it can be used as an exfoliator. Mixed with olive oil and oats, it makes for a relaxing face mask. When warmed and mixed into a moisturizer, it provides rich hydration for dry skin!

This is a fantastic natural formula that uses inexpensive ingredients. It’s also customizable to your personal preferences. This body scrub is a mixture of salt ,herbs and oils – with ingredients to soften, cleanse and exfoliate the skin and relax the body. You rub it vigorously all over your skin and then shower or rinse off afterwards and feel how babys-bottom soft your skin is!

During the summer your pores will massively increase to absorb all of the perspiration. Ways to decrease your pores is to wash your face more frequently during warmer temperatures to get rid of all the excess oils that our bodies produce! During cooler season you would want to wash your face less frequently to prevent from drying out your skin too much, but still be able to keep it clean and clear. This beauty tip will keep your face feeling healthy, clean, and fresh all throughout the seasons!
