Sweater Dress: The Fall Essential

I had recently bought a basic black classic sweater dress from H&M in attempts to pull together my fall wardrobe. I loved the versatility and how many different ways it could be worn…… and it was super comfy and warm!!  I paired it with a leopard print collared shirt and a classic gold chain to break up the black. I cant wait to wear it again and again, and I think the sweater dress is an essential for any ones fall wardrobe.

  •  tights, tall boots, big printed scarf, skinny belt
  •  beanie hat, gold accessories, fucia lips
  • combat boots, printed nylons, statement neclace
  • ancle boots, chambaray shirt, belt
  • thigh high socks, wedge shoes, and big sunnies and bag
  • and so much more

I was Inspired by Amanda Seyfreid’s girly grunge photo shoot in the August issue of ELLE. She looked natural, clean and beautiful and it made her lips really pop!  See the article here. They created the perfect modern-day grunge girl makeup look.  Makeup artist Polly Osmond: only used  a deep red ClĂ© de Peau BeautĂ© lipstick. Other than that, she was barefaced—and rocked it. I decided to try out the look for myself.  I applied dark lipstick, brushed my hair out and walked right out the door!

Thanks for listening!!

E.L.F Cosmetic Beauty Haul!!!

Recently I've encountered and discovered amazing new products with  e.l.f cosmetics! I'm very excited to share all the products that I've bought from e.l.f! As you all know e.l.f is my favorite cosmetic brand, and it has definitely turned me into a makeup fanatic! If you don't know much about e.l.f products they are extremely inexpensive and it gives you a flawless look! E.l.f has it's own makeup studio in New York-- they also sell their products at your local Walmarts, Targets, Walgreens and Gordmans! I recently ordered several products from their website: eyeslipsface.com
All of the products that I've bought work tremendously well. They were all under $6.00--REGULAR PRICED. Here's a short video clip of the products I've purchased: http://www.magisto.com/video/YVEOZV4XCDxrXRZhCzE

Small Stipple Brush
-One of the first things I bought was a brush that works extremely well. I purchased the small one because I felt more comfortable distributing smaller amounts of makeup to my face than rather using the large stipple brush. This brush can work with loose power, pressed power, and liquids--I personally use this particular brush when I apply a liquid based primer or foundation. This brush is an exact duplicate of a MAC brush, (which is expensive) I would say go with the e.l.f brush, this beauty bundle find was $3.00
Mineral Infused Primer
- This is one of my favorite products from my e.l.f beauty bundle! You apply this product on before you apply your foundation. This is the very first step to flawless skin! This primer goes on thin, light-weight, very golden and shimmery, but be careful: if you put on too much than you will start to look like vampires from the movie Twilight! Yikes! This primer is also available in different colors, I specifically chose the golden one because I have an obsession with gold this season!

Tone Correcting Power
- The Tone Correcting Power can be applied either before or after you put on your foundation to even out dark circles and skin blemishes! This product also creates a golden ,shimmery glow. You should also lightly dust this over your skin, you don't want it to appear too thick because your skin will start to look ashen.
Radiance Enhancer
-I absolutely loooooveeeee this product! This is an all-over face product. I use this specifically on my cheek bones and slightly tap the product to work it into my skin, I also apply it on my brow bones, the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, and on the tip of my chin. I pretty much use this product as a highlighter. And--of course I bought this product in a golden shade!

Triple Tip Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
-Last but not least...I adore this eyeliner it was only $1.00!! This pen works really well, it goes on very smoothly and very pigmented. I will warn you that if you apply the eyeliner with too much pressure you will scratch you eyelid! I've done it several times and seemed to not have learned my lesson. And this product is extremely waterproof, BUT it is very easy to remove..unlike other waterproof products I have used!

These are all of the products that I have in store for you today! Their will be more Jibber Jabber and makeup-talk soon.

Xoxoxo,
Courtney!

Beauty Product talk!

When I recently asked the girls in Chic Academy for their absolute beauty favorites I got some great responses! Here's some of their responses. Enjoy!

e.l.f liquid eyeliner

Daneisha exclaimed "This is my favorite, inexpensive eyeliner. But I get it this from Target for a 1$"

e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color

Yet another e.l.f product!! Alaina said while talking about her must have "This is my absolute favorite lipstick! You can get it at target and its so cheap but it stays on forever. It's a very deep, mate color! $3!!!"

Revlon Colorstay

Jewel said "My most favorite eyeliner ever! Revlon Colorstay. It stays on so long and it does not smudge, if you fall asleep in it, you will not wake up looking like a raccoon! It's perfect because it's not a pencil so you dont have to sharpen it and it doesnt stick and drag across your eyelid, and its not a liquid so it doesnt get messy, it just glides on perfect every time! I love it, and highly recommend it! Walmart $4"

NARS tinted moisturizer

Courtney shared "NARS tinted moisturizer is my favorite!!!!! I love it because I'm not a person that likes to wear make-up or any foundation whatsoever. But I use this moisturizer as a foundation when I do wear make-up, because its very light-weight, it feels like you have nothing on your skin and it gives full coverage like foundation! It's pretty pricey at sephora($32) but I always walk in and get the samples! Lol"

Alex shared why this entire brand is a big must. "I'd recommend any benefit cosmetics! They are natural and really clean feeling on your skin and stuff! Um this is dandelion blush and its great for paper white skin because it's very light and has a slight sparkle. (Its really hard for people like me who have a hard time getting tan to pick the right blush!)But benefit has tons of these cute little blushes in many colors for any skin tone. watch out if you have the membership thing at sephora (love it-you earn points every time you buy something and get free stuff with the points) I got this product for free with my points!"

Just some more great tips from just some of the beauty experts in chic academy! I now extent this to you! Here is a challenge for you guys this week!! upload or post a picture of your absolute favorite beauty product on instagram #chicacademy, in the comment section below or on our facebook page here!! We would love to hear from you!!
